These terms govern your use of bondedmatter.com (international) and bondedmatter.com.au (Australia), and any purchase you make from us. By placing an order, you accept them.

These terms are the legal basis of your purchase, so some of the language is precise by necessity. We've written them in plain English wherever we can, without the legal padding most policies hide behind. If anything's unclear, email moments@bondedmatter.com and we'll explain it plainly.

Orders

An order is an offer to buy. We accept your order when we send an order confirmation. If we can't fulfil an order (for example, pricing error, stock issue, or we can't verify payment) we'll let you know and refund any payment in full.

Some pieces are made to order. Estimated production and delivery timeframes are shown at checkout and in your order confirmation.

Pricing and payment

Prices are shown and charged in your local currency based on your shipping destination. Australian orders are priced in AUD and include GST. For international orders, we charge duties and import taxes upfront at checkout where available. In rare cases, destination customs or carriers may apply additional fees (for example, brokerage, handling, or regulatory charges outside our estimate). These are your responsibility.

Payment is taken in full at the time of order. We accept the payment methods listed at checkout.

Refunds are issued in the original currency to the original payment method. Exchange rate movements between payment and refund are handled by your bank.

If we discover a pricing error after you've paid, we'll contact you before dispatch and either honour the price, offer the correct price, or cancel the order with a full refund.

Customised and Concierge pieces

Resized pieces and Concierge or bespoke commissions are made to your specifications. Once production starts, they can't be cancelled or returned for change of mind.

Engraved pieces can be returned for change of mind within the 30-day window, subject to a $200 re-finishing fee (see Returns & Refunds).

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law still apply if any piece is faulty or not as described.

Product information

Every piece we ship meets or exceeds the carat, dimensions, and metal weight disclosed on the product page. Any deviation is always in your favour: a slightly larger stone, more generous metal weight.

For our coloured range, gemstone colour is the one thing we can't guarantee to the shade. All stones show small individual variations, and screen calibration affects how colour reads before a piece arrives. These variations are part of the character of each stone, not defects.

If the colour isn't right for you, use our 30-day change of mind window (see Returns & Refunds).

Intellectual property

All content on our websites, including images, copy, and designs, belongs to Bonded Matter or our licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or use it commercially without written permission.

Your account

If you create an account, keep your login details secure. You're responsible for activity on your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

Acceptable use

Don't use the site to break the law, infringe someone else's rights, or interfere with how the site works.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can't be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or our products.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect when you place an order is the one that applies to that order.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Disputes will be handled in the courts of New South Wales.
